Our mission<\/h3> <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n

We contribute to the protection of victims of road accidents caused by foreign vehicles in cross-border road traffic.<\/p>\n

By being responsible for settling claims and paying compensation to victims of road accidents in Portugal caused by foreign vehicles and, at the same time, by guaranteeing the responsibility undertaken by our Associates in issuing Green Cards, namely for damage caused by a Portuguese vehicle abroad, we create a safe environment for residents of all countries that are adhering members of the Green Card System.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    To act as a Handling Bureau representing the legitimate interests of Insurers and Foreign Bureaux.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n\n

    To ensure the legitimate rights of victims of accidents occurred in Portugal and which are the responsibility of Insurers registered with Foreign Counterpart Bureaux.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n\n

    Guaranteeing Bureau<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The GPCV, in its capacity as Guaranteeing Bureau<\/strong>, is responsible for the Green Cards issued by its associate Insurers, acting as a guarantor of their undertaken responsibility, namely for compensation for damage caused by a Portuguese vehicle abroad.<\/p>\n

    Handling Bureau<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The GPCV, in its capacity as Handling Bureau<\/strong>, is responsible for settling claims and paying compensation to the injured parties of road accidents caused in Portugal by vehicles from foreign countries adhering to the Green Card System.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
